Mick Kelly has been active in the movements for peace, justice, equality and liberation for the last 40 years. From the war on Vietnam to the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, Mick has stood in solidarity with those who want to free themselves from foreign domination. He is currently a leader of the MN Coalition for a People’s Bailout, where he has helped to lead the fight against home foreclosures.
Mick is a founding member of Freedom Road Socialist Organization and edits the newspaper, Fight Back!. In his capacity as editor he has interviewed many leaders in the peoples struggle at home and abroad, including prominent leaders of the movements for national liberation, like Leila Khalid of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. He works as a cook at the University of Minnesota and is a member of Teamster Local 320.
