Join the LA Committee to Stop FBI Repression and allies as we demand: "HANDS OFF CARLOS MONTES!"
On May 17, the LA Sheriff's SWAT team, along with members of the FBI, stormed into the home of veteran activist Carlos Montes carrying automatic weapons. Carlos was arrested on trumped-up charges that were merely a pretext to invade his home and seize political documents, as well as question him about his political affiliations.
The attack on Carlos Montes is part of a sweeping campaign launched by the FBI around the country, that has drawn in 23 other activists into an investigation of "material support of terrorism" for peaceful political activism.
Come out June 16 @ 7:30 a.m. to the Alhambra Courthouse for Carlos Montes' first court appearance, as we demand:
- Drop the trumped-up charges!
- Stop the FBI/Grand Jury witch hunt against all anti-war and international solidarity activists!
- Return all confiscated property to its rightful owners!
