Activists ask for Congresswoman's help

On December 2nd, 2010, activists and community members from Gainesville, FL will be traveling to Jacksonville, FL seeking support from Congresswoman Corrine Brown regarding the unfair raids conducted by the FBI on the homes of 14 peace activists throughout the United States.

On September 24th, 2010, the homes of 14 anti-war and peace activsts were raided by the FBI, and although no charges have been brought against any of the activists months after the raids, the government claims that the peace activists are under investigation for providing “material support to terrorist organizations.”  There are no links between any terrorist organizations and the 14 peace activists, and this is nothing more than a modern day witch-hunt that is tearing families in Chicago and Minneanapolis apart.

The activists will be arriving at Corrine Brown's office around 3:30 pm to hold a small demonstration outside the office and ask Corrine Brown to look into the government repression of these community organizers and ask for her support.R
