Saturday 02/18 at 7pm: An Evening with Carlos Montes
Carlos Montes is a long time activist and organizer from the 1968 East LA education reform movement, Chicana Moratorium Project, co founder of the Brown Berets, to his work today with the Southern California Immigration Coalition. He is currently the target of FBI repression. Join us for a discussion about the latest wave of FBI political repression of activists in the U.S. An onstage interview with Carlos will cover:
* the details of his legal case
* the connection to the current FBI investigations of other activists in the Midwest
* the relevance of this type of policing and surveillance for other activists
* its relation to policing of other targeted communities
* and how we can best respond as a community

Co-sponsored by Bay Area Committee to Stop FBI Repression and EastSide Arts Alliance
