1/12/2011 Anti-War and International Solidarity Activists Denounce FBI Infiltration The anti-war and international solidarity activists who are being called before a grand jury in Chicago have learned that beginning a few months before the protests against the Republican National Convention in the 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota, a law enforcement officer infiltrated the Twin Cities Anti-War Committee (AWC). The infiltrator went by the name Karen Sullivan, joined the AWC in April 2008, and about a year later she joined the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.
1/11/2011 Letter from Illinois Senator Richard Durbin This letter was received Jan. 10 by a supporter of the Committee to Stop FBI Repression (CSFR) who had contacted Senator Durbin’s office about our case. In early December, a delegation from CSFR had met with one of Durbin’s aides to brief him. CSFR has organized visits to Washington, DC or district offices of nearly 100 Senators and Congress persons, meeting with the legislators themselves or their aides. We have found that the sentiment expressed here is widespread. Hopefully, other legislators will speak out as well in our behalf.

12/22/2010 Statement from Palestine solidarity activist Maureen Murphy on receiving a subpoena The Committee to Stop FBI Repression is circulating the following statement from Palestine solidarity activist Maureen Murphy. Maureen is also the co-chair of the Chicago Committee Against Political Repression, which has been leading work in Chicago to oppose FBI repression of antiwar and international solidarity activists. On Tuesday Dec. 21, Maureen received a subpoena from the FBI to appear before a federal grand jury.
12/21/2010 FBI delivers subpoenas to four more anti-war, solidarity activists as U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald Expands Witch Hunt The FBI came unannounced to knock on doors at two apartments in Chicago this morning. FBI agent Robert Parker, under orders from U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald’s office, delivered a subpoena to Maureen Murphy. Murphy, like several other individuals served subpoenas, is an organizer with the Palestine Solidarity Group-Chicago.
