4/17/2011 Congressman David Price writes letter of concern to Attorney General Eric Holder about FBI raids Durham, NC – Congressman David Price of North Carolina’s 4th district has written a letter of concern about the FBI raids on anti-war activists to Attorney General Eric Holder. It is the third such letter by members of Congress, following letters by Rep. Keith Ellison (Minnesota) and Rep. Danny Davis (Illinois). Rep. Price is the ranking Democrat on the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.

4/11/2011 Urge members of Congress to speak out against FBI and Grand Jury repression U.S. Representative Danny Davis of Illinois recently wrote and sent a letter to President Obama that serves as a very good example for further legislative efforts. Minnesota Representative Keith Ellison also wrote and sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder in November. In areas where we have been doing work with U.S. House and Senate members, or areas where we would like to do this work, we can and should request our U.S. Congressperson to join Reps. Davis and Ellison in this effort by writing their own letter to Obama and Holder condemning the FBI repression and Grand Jury investigation.

3/21/2011 Letter to President Obama from Congressman Davis In February, a delegation from Chicago’s Committee Against Political Repression met with a staff person in the Chicago office of Congressman Danny Davis.  The delegation was led by Richard Berg and Rima Kapitan.  We were there to ask for a letter to President Obama and Attorney General Holder expressing concern about FBI repression of the Anti-War and Solidarity Movements.  Ira Cohen, Director of Issues and Communication expressed that the Congressman would write a letter to President Obama to address the issues we raised.

2/14/2011 Conference to confront FBI attacks on anti-war and solidarity activist's constitutionally guaranteed rights of free speech and freedom of assembly A conference organized to address the recent FBI raids on anti-war and international solidarity activist’s homes and workplaces will take place on Saturday, February 19th from 9:45am till 5:00pm at the UNC Law School on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided for a suggested $5 donation. Childcare will be available free of charge.
2/7/2011 Local leaders and groups ask President Obama and U.S. Attorney General to end Grand Jury investigation of peace and solidarity activists More than 70 regional community leaders and organizations have signed an open letter calling on President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to use their authority to "stop assaults on freedom of speech and association, to halt FBI entrapment, [and] to keep nonviolent activists from being sent to prison.” The letter (attached) was issued by Seattle United Against FBI Repression.
2/7/2011 The Stop FBI and Grand Jury Political Repression West Coast Tour with Hatem Abudayyeh Hatem Abudayyeh, one of the anti-war and Palestine support activists who was subpoenaed to a federal grand jury, and whose home was raided by the FBI on September 24th, 2010, will be traveling up and down the West Coast to talk about his personal experience with this attack on free speech, free assembly, and civil liberties.
