The Committee to Stop FBI Repression is circulating the following statement from Palestine solidarity activist Maureen Murphy. Maureen is also the co-chair of the Chicago Committee Against Political Repression, which has been leading work in Chicago to oppose FBI repression of antiwar and international solidarity activists. On Tuesday Dec. 21, Maureen received a subpoena from the FBI to appear before a federal grand jury. |

The Committee to Stop FBI Repression stands in solidarity with the activists of the Gaza flotilla ships and the people of Palestine. As Americans, we denounce the U.S. government’s support for the Israeli blockade on Gaza and demand that Palestinians get access to the food, water, medical supplies and building materials they need for their daily lives. We denounce the U.S., Greek, and Israeli sabotage and blocking of the flotilla taking the much-needed humanitarian aid to Gaza. |

Montes' lawyer Jorge Gonzalez dropped a legal bombshell when he pointed out that the legal documentation introduced into evidence by the District Attorney failed to support the basis of the entire case against Montes. |

The FBI came unannounced to knock on doors at two apartments in Chicago this morning. FBI agent Robert Parker, under orders from U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald’s office, delivered a subpoena to Maureen Murphy. Murphy, like several other individuals served subpoenas, is an organizer with the Palestine Solidarity Group-Chicago. |

FBI Delivers Subpoenas to More Anti-War, Solidarity Activists in Chicago |
The FBI has informed a lawyer from the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) that at least three subpoenas to appear before a Grand Jury have been delivered in the Chicago area.
Attorney Jim Fennerty confirmed that FBI agent Robert Parker informed him just before 1:00 pm today that the subpoenas were being delivered at that moment. |

FBI confirms that they copied tens of thousands of documents seized from the homes of local anti-war activists; originals returned, indictments still looming |
The FBI says they have finished copying the political material and personal papers seized in the September 24, 2010, raids on the homes of Twin Cities anti-war and international solidarity activists. This afternoon, November 1, FBI agents delivered the last batch of notebooks, family photos, membership lists for anti-war groups, and political documents to the office of attorney Bruce Nestor. The FBI has been returning the material seized in the raids over the last several weeks. |
