1/28/2012 Caso legal continúa contra líder chicano Carlos Montes en Los Ángeles El 24 de enero, el líder chicano Carlos Montes estuvo en la corte de Los Ángeles, California con audiencia ante el juez George Lomeli; el abogado de Montes, Jorge González, pidió al juez que eliminara los cargos contra Montes debido a la falta de evidencia, después de escuchar los argumentos del fiscal y de la defensa, el juez rechazó la apelación de falta de evidencia presentada por el abogado de Montes, eso significa que el caso contra Montes aún continúa; La próxima audiencia ante el juez será el 8 de febrero.
5/20/2012 Committee to Stop FBI Repression Condemns Chicago Police Arrests of NATO Protesters Late Wednesday night, May 16th, Chicago police broke down the door of an apartment and arrested nine activists who have been held without charges. Other NATO protesters have also been harassed and/or arrested by the Chicago police in the days leading up to the NATO summit in Chicago.

1/23/2012 Committee to Stop FBI Repression condemns unjust sentences for 3 young Muslims in North Carolina The Committee to Stop FBI Repression condemns the sentencing last week of three young Muslim men in North Carolina to between 15 and 45 years in prison each. Before sentencing, the judge noted that she had received hundreds of letters in support of the three men urging her to hand down the minimum sentence. Despite this, Ziyad Yaghi, Omar Aly Hassan, and Hysen Sherifi received nearly maximum sentences for a 'terrorism' case. Even the LA Times was critical because "prosecutors named no targeted victims...places, times or dates of attacks."

As Americans, we denounce the U.S. government’s support for the Israeli blockade on Gaza and demand that Palestinians get access to the food, water, medical supplies and building materials they need for their daily lives.  We denounce the U.S., Greek, and Israeli sabotage and blocking of the flotilla taking the much-needed humanitarian aid to Gaza.
2/14/2011 Conference to confront FBI attacks on anti-war and solidarity activist's constitutionally guaranteed rights of free speech and freedom of assembly A conference organized to address the recent FBI raids on anti-war and international solidarity activist’s homes and workplaces will take place on Saturday, February 19th from 9:45am till 5:00pm at the UNC Law School on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided for a suggested $5 donation. Childcare will be available free of charge.

4/17/2011 Congressman David Price writes letter of concern to Attorney General Eric Holder about FBI raids Durham, NC – Congressman David Price of North Carolina’s 4th district has written a letter of concern about the FBI raids on anti-war activists to Attorney General Eric Holder. It is the third such letter by members of Congress, following letters by Rep. Keith Ellison (Minnesota) and Rep. Danny Davis (Illinois). Rep. Price is the ranking Democrat on the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.

This is the result of the determined efforts and outreach by the Seattle Committee.
