1/12/2011 Anti-War and International Solidarity Activists Denounce FBI Infiltration The anti-war and international solidarity activists who are being called before a grand jury in Chicago have learned that beginning a few months before the protests against the Republican National Convention in the 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota, a law enforcement officer infiltrated the Twin Cities Anti-War Committee (AWC). The infiltrator went by the name Karen Sullivan, joined the AWC in April 2008, and about a year later she joined the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.

11/5/2010 Breaking: Justice Dept. Renews Enforcement of Subpoenas for Anti-War Activists Targeted in FBI Raids This morning on Democracy Now! civil liberties attorney Bruce Nestor announced that the Department of Justice is re-subpoenaeing three of the fourteen targeted anti-war activists to appear before the grand jury. Nestor explained that the re-subpoenaed activists have the choice of testifying against their friends and the movement or potentially serving jail time for contempt of court if they refuse to testify.

7/9/2011 Carlos Montes pleads “not guilty”, next court date set for August 12 With a courtroom packed so there were no empty seats, Carlos Montes plead “Not Guilty” to six felony charges in court on July 6, 2011. Defense attorney Jorge Gonzales said the LA District Attorney is using “selective enforcement” to target Carlos. The U.S. government is using a 42-year-old charge from 1969 to prosecute Carlos Montes today for a weapon and an ammunition charge, and four charges of perjury on his weapons permits.
