4/26/2011 Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky writes letter to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding FBI raids on activists Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (Illinois) has written a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding the September 24 FBI raids on anti-war and international solidarity activists. Rep. Schakowsky also attached a letter provided by Michael Deutsch, an attorney with the People's Law office and a member of the Committee to Stop FBI Repression legal team. These two letters send a strong statement to Holder about Schakowsky's concern for the issues involved in the case.
4/17/2011 Congressman David Price writes letter of concern to Attorney General Eric Holder about FBI raids Durham, NC – Congressman David Price of North Carolina’s 4th district has written a letter of concern about the FBI raids on anti-war activists to Attorney General Eric Holder. It is the third such letter by members of Congress, following letters by Rep. Keith Ellison (Minnesota) and Rep. Danny Davis (Illinois). Rep. Price is the ranking Democrat on the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.

2/7/2011 Local leaders and groups ask President Obama and U.S. Attorney General to end Grand Jury investigation of peace and solidarity activists More than 70 regional community leaders and organizations have signed an open letter calling on President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to use their authority to "stop assaults on freedom of speech and association, to halt FBI entrapment, [and] to keep nonviolent activists from being sent to prison.” The letter (attached) was issued by Seattle United Against FBI Repression.
5/10/2011 Palestinian Community Leader Hatem Abudayyeh and Supporters Claim Victory On Friday, May 6th, the bank accounts of Hatem and Naima Abudayyeh of Chicago were frozen. The bank manager at the TCF (Twin Cities Federal) branch could not explain what had happened but stated that the Bank Security Act prevented him from releasing any assets. In a strange turn of events, the bank admitted announced today that they shut down the accounts, stating they no longer want to provide banking services to the Abudayyeh family. Simultaneously, TCF management informed the Abudayyehs today that they were issuing them a check for the value of their accounts.
5/13/2011 Letter read into Congressional record by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in debate over PATRIOT Act On Thursday, May 12, the House Judiciary Committee voted to reauthorize provisions of the Patriot Act. In the debate, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas spoke against the Patriot Act. To show that the Patriot Act had led to abuses of civil liberties, she pointed to the case of the 23 anti-war, labor and international solidarity activists facing FBI and grand jury repression. Her office requested a personal letter from some of the Midwest activists being subjected to this investigation, and submitted into the Congressional record this letter from Joe Iosbaker and Stephanie Weiner.

9/24/2011 Seattle: Support Civil Liberties, Protest Political Repression: One-Year Anniversary of FBI Raids on Anti-War Activists Seattle United Against FBI Repression formed in the month following the raids, and has just produced a new video, “FBI Attacks” Who’s Next?”. In the video Seattle area activists demonstrate their solidarity with those targeted in the Midwest by showing that they too work for human rights, and therefore risk repression from the FBI.
